by -Zej-, 57 days agoThe Red Dragons have joined in on the final confrontation in Icecrown!
The assault on the Citadel itself. In a combined efforts of Friday and Saturday night raiding, we managed to go in and down three of the four bosses. The last boss, Deathbringer, was unable to be beaten due to just running out of time, but we did manage to get our feet wet and get him to 65% after just two attempts.
Marrowgar was tough, but the combined healing minds and efforts of Shinho, Dawnchaser, Lemiwinks, and Inky (though not on the same nights.) we were able to break Bone spikes and keep up with the bone storm.
Deathwhisper was an interesting encounter, but more like Kel'Thuzad 2.0: Electric Boogaloo. After readjusting our dps and fine tuning our dps times, we killed her without much issue.
The Gunship encounter is easily the coolest encounter blizzard has ever done. Our strategy wasn't perfect, but we did down the vile horde and Muradin was kind enough to award us with something from his armory.

by -Zej-, 113 days agoComing back after last weeks 2% upset, the Red Dragons went back to General Vezax and were determined to meet this thing face to squidface. It was a total improvement. The group suffered no wipes and only one death of a mage who shall remain nameless. They then met Sara and saw the true face of madness, but only managed to get her to 92%. Tighten up and try next week Red Dragons!
Lets get pumped for this week and see if we can band together for something special on Saturday!
by Dawnchaser-Medivh, 121 days agoThe Red Dragons fought valiantly against General Vezax last night, getting him to a mere 174,000 health before the raid was WTFpwned by some nasty debuffs.
Prior to fighting the giant squid the raid finished clearing the Keepers with Hodir going down in one shot and Mimiron going down in... well... 90 minutes or so. On the plus side, only one shaman managed to die 3 times in one fight (in less than 1 minute I believe).
Due to our near-success with Vezax and our desire to shove our fists down Yoggy's many throats we are going to extend our raid lockout thru next week so that we may have more attempts on Vezax. Please see the in-game calendar for more information
by Dawnchaser-Medivh, 176 days agoCongratulations to Zej, who has been promoted by Rascal as the new Guild Leader (Lord)! Rascal is taking a break due to some personal issues and is stepping down due to his predicted absence.
Zej will be making an announcement shortly about a new High Councillor and any other promotions. Stay tuned!
by Shinho, 199 days agoLast night the <Red Dragons> downed 5 bosses in Ulduar 25! We one shot all of the Siege, and 2 shot Kologarn without breaking a sweat. The Iron Council proved to be a pain in the rear, as expected. With the continued support of our members we can make this raid a success every week. If your gear isn't quite ready for Ulduar 25 yet our Naxx 25 pugs are a great way to prepare yourself! These are every Sunday at 8:00pm EST, if you have any questions send Shinho a mail.
